Good Morning,

I work at minimotoringgraphics.com and I stumbled across your MINI blog and this one and have just been out and about trying to touch base with MINI owners and lovers and enthusiasts and people in community regarding what we do and who we are. We are the only offical parter for MINI USA and run their Graphics program. I don't know if you've ever seen the website or heard of us. We've been around for about two years and we just relaunched the website a few weeks ago. It's amazing how far we've come but we still have a long way to go and I'm leading the charge with trying to spread the word, word of mouth, on the internet ect. All the dealerships can order from us and I am working hard to get the clubs and website owners to work with us as well so we can get the MINI ONLINE community some really sweet discounts.

I car pool to work every morning and when i see a MINI I see so much potential and want to help get people an amazing product to dress up their MINI. New technology that we have invented to allow people full personalization of their MINI. It's never been possible before to do what we are doing and MINI is the only car that currently has this kind of technology we have made. Please give me a call or shoot me an e-mail if there is any chance of us working together.

Fascinating to watch the attempts to predict sales:
http://brainstormtech.blogs.fortune.cnn.com/2010/03/13/day-1-estimate-120000-ipads-sold/

I cancelled and re-ordered my iPad case yesterday, six hours after the original order (due to worries it won't ship to the right location).
The order number had gone up by 76,000 digits - but I don't know if there's a check digit (and of course that includes *all* online sales for six hours).

I do notice, though, that the delivery date for the iPad case has moved from April 3rd (yesterday), to mid April (today) - presumably more cases have been ordered than was anticipated ...

Well here's what I think... It should have had the computer OS though that would have probably made it more expensive so some PC users would never buy it as they tend to be... um... cheap, think macs are just pretty over priced graphic designer toys. Ian, as you have found over the last few years... Sometimes spending a tad more is a good thing.

I personally would have loved to have a non laptop laptop like the iPad, especially for my trips to Holland but as it is... it's just a big iPhone that won't fit in my pocket.

Well, the iPad *does* have iTunes, so that ones OK.
I run "clicktoflash" to block Flash on my web browser, and only need to "click" to see a few things - mostly, I'm happy that all the crap Flash adverts are blocked.
So never being able to "clicktoflash" on the iPad will prevent me seeing a couple of websites, but mostly it's no issue.

I think iPhone OS is perfect for most intended users - it so simplifies the device, enables simple App Store installations ... I suspect those that say "no" will, like me moving from DOS, discover that the new way is not such a bad way after all!

There are several problems with the iPad for me. It's running the iPhone OS instead of a computer OS. No real keyboard. And the main use of it seems to be to browse the Web, but it is missing Flash so many sites won't work well. Then there's iTunes...

Boy, you really dived in head first. I'm still a bit unsure about the device but you might be right on it being a magic device for the average joe. I am very interested in it being a control center for home systems such as lighting and heating/cooling.
