After the storm

I drove home in GBMINI#5 last night … on route 22 in Essex grip was very poor, due to ice under the snow; but back in Gloucester I had no problems driving up quite steep slopes to get home, including passing a stranded pick-up truck. Apparently GBMINI#5s all-season tires are good enough :)
Meanwhile, GPMINI stayed at work, part buried in the snow!

And spare a thought for Josh who left the office about 3pm yesterday - and didn’t get home till 10pm! A 1 hour drive turned in to 6 hours (plus stops!) …

Not much better down here in RI. I left my work at 3:30pm and got home at 10pm. I only work 14.5 miles from my house. Hopefully the storm that is coming this weekend won’t be as bad as they predict… HOPEFULLY!

Sleigh bells ring can ya hear them? La, La, La can ya hear them? Sliding an a winter wonderland! I remember you telling me at lunch in Bakersfield how it hardly ever snows there. I guess the gawds heard you. ;-)

Do you have chains? Are they needed?

My woodies outside, covered in snow, New York’s a lonely town when you’re the only surfer……….

No chains - roads get plowed pretty well here

Now here’s probably a question only a SoCal person would ask… how do you get the snow off the car without scratching the heck out of it?

    Gently!
On GPMINI, I’ll often use a brush to take the bulk of snow off, then sweep the rest with a gloved hand, not risking any tool near the paintwork.

    A heated garage!

Hey! I didn’t realize you were so close to me - just ordered a V6 for myself after dealing with drive thrus and holding my window switch up.

My 03 MCS has been amazing in these two storms - the Blizzaks are an excellent and necessary addition to the car, makes driving fun and safe!

I saw your car at OctoberFAST at BMW of Peabody, if I recall - I had the JB/JB MCS that now wears “GOKAHT” as its plate.
