Lucky’s Shakedown Cruise

Today was Luckys big day! Ready for the BABE Rally which begins in just a few days, Lucky, Steve, Libby & Bill invited MINI owners that had donated to Bill’s Bills (sponsoring ducks) to head down to the Cape and drive with Lucky (ending with a party & food!) … our first view of Lucky was with bubbles blowing, as it drove into the parking lot:

There are ducks everywhere on Lucky - Steve estimated 470+ ducks! See here for some duck close-ups - maybe you’ll spot your name!

Quack Quack Jack, recently returned from England with Annette, visited and checked out Lucky:

And then, it was time to drive Cape Cod! 20 MINIs, cruising highway and twisties, making their way to Provincetown:

In the evening, everyone got together again at Libby & Bills home for a great party, including food, drink, raffle prizes and a SACRIFICE!

The sacrifice was of a not-very-pretty “cathead” CD rack - intended to bestow good fortune on Luckys BABE rally … but also a hilarious entertainment! Go here for the sacrifice unveiling then skip through next-by-next to watch the not-so-gory event unfurl! Or peek at the near-finale here:

Other entertainment included a visit from Elvis, and the attachment of a severed cat head to Lucky!
