STRYK2

One time MINIsOnTop Codmeister Steve, who “defected” last year from MINI to Subaru, now says “goodbye” to the giant wing and returns fully to the MINI community :)

Out with the old …

… and in with the new:

Like Steves first MINI, STRYKER, Steve has had the wheel arches and side skirts painted body color (wheel arch close-up, side skirt close-up) and it looks pretty sharp! Also worth a close-up look is the racing checker pattern interior trim:

When Steve arrived, he was totally thrilled with the new car - as any MINI owner should be of course :)

And luckily, the “STOP” sign inside the dealership turned out to be indicating only a temporary hiccup in the trade / purchase process ;)

So everyone ended up smiling - especially when Steve presented special beers to Hrach and Brig:

Steve, I hope you love it - look forward to meeting up again soon!

Congrats, Steve! And those are some pretty cool pics, Ian! :-)

I’m anxious to see the new fishmobile up close and personal, and I’m more than a little bummed he gypped us out of a first-hand viewing on Saturday… I’m wondering how long it’ll take MoP to sell that AWD … thing, especially since Sputnik eventually got auctioned off (poor little guy).

MoP aren’t even trying to sell the Subaru - the trade-in price was from another un-related dealership that will take it away!

I’m fully satisfied even with seeing the usual goofy pictures of myself.
MOP no longer does used auto sales except for used MINIs.
I hear Eliot T. picked his new S up on Thursday too!

Who did the trim painting? Sublime?
That was a quick turn around wasn’t it..? I thought the cars only got
to MOP a few days ago.

    Welcome back Steve!

The trim was painted by by the other company that MoP uses (Total Collision?); Brig said significantly less expensive than Sublime - it looked like fine work.

    Congrats, Steve!
The trim looks good, although it accentuates that new bonnet panel gap.
Interesting that the new autobahnd clear bra comes almost halfway up the hood.
I look forward to see what engine mods steve plans to install!
