F1 Boston video
After digging out my old high-end-at-the-time Sony DV camcorder, I took some film of yesterdays track event; then last night I installed a video editing program, and “played” for an hour or so to put together a short (3 minute) clip.
Experimenting today I found that compressing down to this “iPod” MP4 file (15MB) and this Windows Media file (8.5MB) gave a good video quality at small file size - iTunes can play the “iPod” file, so everyone should be happy!
And thanks to MINI for the music ![]()

Ooh, the MIME type for that .m4v file is *not* making Safari happy!

Nice work, Ian! That’s very cool, and the soundtrack is perfect. I wonder if we can find a way to add some NASCAR-style bubbles over everyones head so we can see who’s who?

I don’t even know who’s who!

The video caught a timing bug which explains why I only recorded 10 laps in that first race… you see my name disappear from the board while another car is repeated twice, then I pop back. I guess that 44 car had problems with its data transmission along with its steering and braking.

Trust you, Josh, to watch the technical aspects
