No rear wiper – wouldn’t work with the third brake light moved to where it is on the GP. I’ll learn to use mirrors like a convertible, in wet weather!

Thanks for the extended comments on the issues I quizzed you about.

As far as seating goes my issues are short legs. I’m 5’9″, my legs are the same length as my wife’s who is 5’4″. I like to really lie back when I drive.

So is there a possibility of a wiper upgrade in GPMINI’s future or are you just going to deal with it? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW.

I’ve noticed the same seating issues. I don’t consider myself to have particularly long legs (I’m about 6′, 32″ inseam) and to have a nice, comfortable position for my legs, I can barely reach the steering wheel. The MINI really needs a telescoping wheel or something. For longer trips, I’ll often move the seat back and compromise on the arm position; otherwise, my back and hip will be screaming after a few hours. I don’t think it’s the ultimate road-trip machine, at least not for loooong trips, but I don’t love it any less for that!

Thanks again Ian for your continued insights on the whole GP ownership experience. It’s hard to believe it still hasn’t even been quite a month yet! I think the addition of the rear fog is a good idea. I sure had mine ON surfing into Charleston, WestbyGod during MTTS and I like to think any extra “hey, I’m here!” one can provide in a MINI is a good thing!

That grip difference must be down to those GP tires..! They’re very aggressive and asymetric..!
