MTTS day 3 – Las Vegas to Flagstaff

(subtitled: Dam! Big Hole, Small Cars)

Today was a great day, even if it started early (6am!) … I hooked up with five other MINIs to tour the Grand Canyon on our way to Flagstaff – but first stop of the day was at Hoover dam:

We also stopped a little further along, where the Colorado river is visible, and I’ve been told there’s no pics of me, so to correct that:

Next stop, Kingman, AZ, the start of (old) Route 66 and with a great diner for lunch:

Onward again, passing 1000 miles on GPMINI and collecting lots of bugs till we finally arrived at the Grand Canyon – and I remembered to get a picture of me & Quack Quack Jack!

The Grand Canyon is of course stunning and impossible to photograph …

Finally we arrived at Flagstaff, where MINI USA had arranged a car wash as part of MINI Takes The States – they did a great job and deserved all the donations they collected!

Oh – it’s much cooler here in Flagstaff (92 when I got up in Las Vegas this morning, only about 70 now here!)
