MC2 - have you ordered yet?

The new MC2 magazine (see MotoringFile and this earlier mention) is on its way:
Yes, that joyful day is finally here…we have shipped our first issue of MCsquared to our printer. Wahoo!
We’ll have proofs back next week, and then, after having a few days to relax (we mean that!), we are on press November 28th with a mailing date of December 1st or 2nd with the help of the postman …

    Nope. Gonna wait and see. Magazines are *sooo* last millennium. Seriously, I’ve got everything I need with MotoringFile and Jalopnik (and a bout a gazillion other feeds that get refreshed hourly). I nearly *always* feel gypped when I buy a magazine and find that everything in it is old news.

    “With gas prices still skyrocketing…”; er, premium’s back down to $2.28 here, and has been dropping for a few weeks, now.

    But that’s just me. :-)

    I didn’t subscribe and probably won’t. I think you can only read so many articles about someone souping up their MINI before it gets old. So someone got 260HP out of their MINI, big deal. The guy last issue got 259.85 and there’s an ad for next issue with a guy who got 260.05 and painted the car a crazy colour! Once is interesting. Four times is an issue, every issue, is not. And maybe MC2 will cater more to the proud MINI owner rather than the obsessed mechanic but I’m betting not.

    And lest I be chastised for not being constructive… for me, I want to see articles on diy maint, car care, driving techniques for the everyday drive, cool routes, articles about clubs and activites. Stuff like that.
