Josh- I didn’t get a Linux shell, but I know it’s available. I am not that good with shell commands, so I prefer to ftp most of my things. I didn’t pay for a static IP but I have one anyways. Perhaps they were feeling generous that day. Their new Superhosting plans are near unbeatable today. And to have such fast CS reponse times…it’s really an awesome opportunity. Plus, they have a reseller option. *thanks for letting us banter on here Ian*

Ryan thanks for the pointer to site5. They are the first “cheap” solution to offer a dedicated IP address that I can find. Do you also get a linux shell?

As one other person has said before, if anyone is looking for an awesome web host, check out Site5.com. I have been with many different hosting companies and have never been more happy than I am now. These guys are top notch, with excellent customer service, fantastic add-ons, and I have not experienced any downtime since I've been with them. Just Google them and you'll see the rave reviews.

Damn straight. In fact the reason it’s down currently is due to Powweb. If they had handled things appropriately we would have only been down for a short time Sunday afternoon.
