November 2, 2004:
GBMINI better than a Ferrari?
Another in the occasional series of photo comparisons … today my friend Roberto received his first piece of work in his newly established classic vehicle restoration business, and I visited:

GBMINI is much more practical both inside and out - the Ferrari was cramped inside and incredibly noisy outside (sounded like it had no exhaust at all!); so low to the ground and rear wheel drive will make it hopeless in winter time - so I will keep GBMINI! ![]()

I love my MINI, but I’d still take the Ferrari 360 Modena anyday :). Something special about a Ferrari, even though it is cramped, unpractical, loud, gives a rough ride and guzzles gasoline - there’s just something special and timeless about those cars from Maranello. Of course, a true Ferrari purist would only by a front-engined V12 Ferrari, not a rear-engined V8 ;). Me, I somehow don’t think I’d be that picky.

Funny, but the Ferrari doesn’t look in need of restoration..!

Just the underside edge of the front bumper - rides even lower to the ground than the MINI!

I agree with you. I’d keep the MCS.

If I could afford that car I’d be able to have a MINI as well.
There is no comparison design wise.
