Hyper Blue = Indi Blue?

While visiting MINI Peabody today, I took some comparison photos of my ‘03 Indi Blue MINI with a new ‘05 Hyper Blue MINI.
GBMINI is not very clean today, and the Hyper Blue is quite clean (although not yet showroom cleaned) - but in the bright sunlight it was very hard to tell the two colors apart:

The Hyper Blue looks very slightly “brighter” than Indi Blue - but if GBMINI was clean and waxed, the comparison would likely have been even closer! I took “same sun angle” shots of both cars and edited the pics together for a better comparison:

Perhaps in less bright light the differences will be more noticeable but I am guessing if you see a dark blue MINI on the road you won’t be able to tell which color it is …

I also took this picture of a Purple Haze (”Black Eye Purple”) MINI in the shade, which shows its purple color much better than I have previously seen - looks quite good here:
