My 17" Dunlop 9000 runflats are some of the best rain tires I have ever had and this trip has seen me go through some amazing standing water and downpours on twisty mountain roads... and the DSC light did a bit of flickering I admit but with only 5000 mile on them that may change as they wear no complaints here afte 2 months with my MINI

I switched my runflats for some performance summer tires, and the hydroplaning is just as bad... And as per the rotating tires, the issue is that the tires wear differently. So if you rotate them frequently (i've heard 5k miles), you'll be ok, but if you wait longer, you might lose some traction (but still gain tire life)
