Real Ice Racing

GBMINIs recent experience on the ice was not what I would call racing, even if that is what the local BMW Car Club of America call it.
However, my work colleagues father, Guy, who lives in France, recently sent me this picture:

Of course GBMINI weblog readers will be interested in the Mini, but since Guy sent the picture and owns the leading car, I will tell you that it is a Simca Aronde “Elysée”, made in 1957, with a 1300cc “FLASH” engine. If you can read French, there is more information here
Guy has a collection of older cars, including a 1931 Ford, and treats them as they should be treated - by driving them regularly, instead of pampering them in some museum.
